This site sets no cookies
There is no consent banner on ramkotech.pro because there is nothing to consent to. No cookies are set, no analytics run, no tracking pixels are embedded and nothing is stored in your browser. This page explains what that means and documents the one external request the site does make.
1. What a cookie is, briefly
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to store and hand back on later visits. Cookies are commonly used for sessions and preferences — and, very often, to follow visitors between websites for advertising. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, everything except a strictly necessary cookie requires your consent before it is set.
2. What this site sets
Nothing. ramkotech.pro is static HTML, CSS and one small JavaScript file. It sets no first-party or third-party cookies, and uses no local storage, session storage or IndexedDB. You can verify this in your browser's developer tools: open the storage panel and reload the page.
- No analytics — no Google Analytics, no alternative measurement service, no server-side counter tied to a visitor
- No advertising or retargeting tags, and no social media pixels
- No embedded videos, maps, chat widgets, comment systems or newsletter forms
- No A/B testing, session recording, heatmaps or fingerprinting
- No consent management platform, because there is nothing for it to manage
3. The one external request: typefaces
The site is set in Instrument Serif, Public Sans and Red Hat Mono, which are requested from Google Fonts at fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com.
Google Fonts does not set cookies for the font files themselves, but making any request to a server necessarily discloses your IP address and basic browser information to it. Google states that this data is used to serve the fonts and to record aggregate usage statistics. We receive none of it, and we cannot identify any visitor through it.
If you prefer not to make that request, blocking fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com — with a content blocker, an extension, or your browser's own settings — will not break this site. Every page remains fully readable and navigable in your system typefaces, because each font stack falls back to fonts already on your device.
4. The JavaScript file
One script, script.js, is served from this site. It does four things: opens and closes the menu on small screens, draws a rule under the header when you scroll, fades sections in as they appear, and marks the current section on the left-hand index. It makes no network requests, reads no storage and transmits nothing. Block it and every page still works.
5. Server logs
Our hosting provider may keep standard access logs — IP address, timestamp, page requested, user agent — for security and reliability. These are not cookies and are not used for analytics, marketing or profiling. They are covered in section 2 of our privacy notice.
6. If this ever changes
If we ever add something that sets a non-essential cookie, we will ask for your consent before it is set, publish what it does on this page, and update the version and date at the top. We will not introduce tracking quietly. There is no plan to add any.
